How do credits work?

10 credits cover one HD photo of up to 16 MP. Unused plan credits carry over, up to one period's grant; trial credits do not; pack credits never expire.

10 credits buy one HD photo of up to 16 MP, or one second of 1080p video. A 1,000-credit week is about 100 photos; a 12 MP phone photo at 2x comes out at 48 MP, so it takes 30 credits.

Two pools. Plan credits renew with the plan's grant each time a renewal is paid (1,000 a week or 2,500 a month on Pro); what a paid period leaves carries over, up to one period's grant, and plan credits end with the plan. Purchased credits come from packs, never expire and stay on the account even if the plan ends.

A job holds its credits when it starts, plan credits first, then purchased. A job that fails returns its held credits to their original pools. Plan credits retain their original expiry, so a refund does not renew an expired allowance. Costs: an HD image is 10 credits per 16 MP of output; video is 10 credits a second at 1080p and 40 a second at 4K, doubled above 30 frames per second. Image output is rounded up in 16 MP units; video duration is rounded up to whole seconds.

While a renewal payment is outstanding, credits are kept but cannot be spent until the card is updated.
