Will faces and photos of people look right?
The general model handles photos, artwork, textures and logos well. It does not add a face-restoration pass, so heavily compressed faces can keep some softness.
The free tool uses one general-purpose model. It sharpens edges and texture and removes compression noise, but the detail is estimated, not recovered with certainty. Faces, lettering and textures may change; inspect results before relying on them. Faces that were very blurry or heavily compressed may stay a little soft.
Cloud HD runs a larger model with more detail recovery. For old or damaged family photos, a restoration tool is the better fit than an upscaler.
